On a side note, because up to now I had been playing most of my battles on PO and Showdown, I only started getting my team ready on cartridge at the last minute. As a resjlt I had no time to obtain the Shadow Ball TM and was forced to run Flash Cannon instead. Furthermore, I didn't play a single match in which Flash Cannon would have been more useful than Shadow Ball at all...

Wolfes Thoughts:
I really like this team a lot and dont want to go too in depth and ruin the report with any analysis of mine, but I think that the interesting Metagame choices that the winner made were really good choices. I of course am biased because I love Hippowdon, but again I think that the unorthodox choices made here were all very good in the metagame he prepared for.

Huge thanks to Hibiki for uploading the videos

    1. It's not about OHKOing. It's about sending a message.

    2. Yeah, also, Aegislash's Sacred Sword doesn't always 2HKO bulky Kangaskhan.

  2. Man, I love this team. This is one of the coolest teams I saw this gen, and it makes such a good use of Aerodactyl. I would just change two things, whirlwind on Hippo and the spread on Hydreigon.
Sky drop is a really strong move but by making Hydreigon slower than Aerodactyl, I feel that you can utilize it even more.
Great probs to Hibiki for making such a strong Counterteam to the almost whole japanese metagame, I´m glad he won and think he totally deserved it!

    1. Hibiki (me) just uploaded the videos, the guy who won is called gonbe238 (I haven't found much about him, not even a Twitter.)

  3. I calculated the given situations for Aegislash; it seems most likely to me that it only has 6 defense rather than 36; this allows it to take roughly 65% from a Jolly Garchomp EQ which should allow it to survive 2 EQs most of the time.
